ANNUAL UNIVERSITY SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMME
This project will give young people who have received scholarships from Fundación Nahuel since 2008 the opportunity to obtain a profession. This will complete the formal education and thus the primary objective of integral human development as a philosophy of intervention. Thanks to all the donations received, we have been able to start this new project which allows us to finance the university studies of students. The scholarships cover all the necessary expenses during each student’s time at university. Thanks to your contribution, we can give hope to hundreds of children who wish to live their dreams.

TOACASO PROJECT
CONSTRUCTION, EQUIPMENT, HEALTH, NUTRITION, OPERATIONAL SUPPORT AND ACCOMPANIMENT. Toacaso currently has no infrastructure of its own. The Children’s Centre, where children from 0 to 3 years of age attend daily, operates in a borrowed warehouse, which is totally inadequate and unsafe. They do not have the necessary equipment, nor the didactic material indispensable for their physical, intellectual and social development. Most of the mothers take their children to work in the fields, the youngest one always carried on their backs. These children are permanently exposed to the inexorable climate of the páramo and suffer from illnesses. The parish of Toacaso is located in the foothills of the Ilinizas in the province of Cotopaxi, its climate is very diverse, ranging from temperate to icy, with a predominantly cold climate. Toacazo has an annual birth rate of 36%, which is higher than the national rate of 27%. The average number of children a woman has in this area is 5. The chronic malnutrition of the population is in the order of 61%.

PLANCHALOMA PROJECT
The Child Development Centre “Vicente León” Located in the Province of Cotopaxi, Toacazo, Community of Plancha Loma at almost 3,000 m altitude in the Ecuadorian Sierra. His conception the achievable utopia of social acupuncture small changes, great transformations. Its design and system of bioclimatic architecture provides a friendly, warm and safe space. It prevents children from being exposed to the bad weather of the páramo, it reduces the diseases that permanently affect the health of children and prevent their development.

CHUMILLOS PROJECT
SCHOOL DINING ROOM AND CHILDREN’S NURSERY Located in the community of Chumillos Alto at 3,665 meters above sea level. From here you can enjoy the Avenue of the Volcanoes and the stay is enriched by the vicinity of the archaeological site of Quitoloma, the most important “pucará” in the north of the country connected by a branch of the Inca Trail. The indigenous community of ancestro cayambi / quichwa has been a beneficiary of the Nahuel Foundation, whose purpose is to support the community organization for the improvement of the socio-environmental environment, with priority attention to children and young people from 6 communities.

PACHIJAL PROJECT
SCHOOL IN THE “PACHIJAL” COMMUNITY The infrastructure was conceived with community participation and co-responsibility, in 1,160 square meters of construction on 2 floors. It is an ecological construction that harmonizes with the environment, the water served is recycled and filtered, becoming water suitable for the cultivation of bamboo – for each tree used, three were planted. It provides access to higher education to children and youth in 11 communities where there was only primary education. It will allow breaking the circle of poverty existing in the area.
