Fabián Jaramillo Dávila Fiscal School

General Objective:

Location: Fajardo, Rumiñahui, Pichincha

Improve the infrastructure to make it suitable for the 10 years of basic education, library, computer room and adequate sanitary facilities in quantity and quality, until 2014.

Specific objective:

Rebuild the bathroom and repair the electrical circuits throughout the school.
Improve the dining room and kitchen, in order to be able to serve current students and when they reach 10th grade.

Project Description:

The school had a fire two years ago, caused by poor electrical installations in the bathrooms.

Two years have passed without electricity in 80% of the campus and working with a sanitary battery for 170 students. and closed the library that was partially burned on its roof.
They must increase their infrastructure to be able to maintain the school, up to the tenth grade until 2014, because there are only 7 classrooms, including library, offices and computer room.

They need to improve the hydraulic installations to guarantee the functioning of the dining room and bathrooms, but the sector has a water deficit and has neither a cistern nor a water pump.

It is a sector of transformation from rural to semi-urban, in which development has decreased the agricultural land due to the need to increase its population.
The school has been working since 1968 and is an icon in the sector for the education received with care and concern of teachers and parents.

If it does not fix its infrastructure problems by 2014, it runs the risk of being closed by the state, causing the population to lose a study center in the area, causing student displacements that will overpopulate other centers, in addition to producing greater economic outlays to families for mobilization, and risk to children for the same reason.

Project results:

The institution has many years of prestige and acceptance in the sector and its staff is extremely receptive to working with the community and with us.
Fix the necessary electrical system and the sanitary batteries to ensure proper operation and not run the risk of being closed.
